Job Overview
Long time busy dealership seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Clerk to replace a 30-year retiring employee. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily office operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and providing excellent customer support. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Duties
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, typing, and data entry to maintain accurate records.
- Assist with office management duties including scheduling appointments and managing office supplies.
- Maintain an organized filing system for easy retrieval of information.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the office environment.
- Utilize computer software for various administrative tasks, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
- Working with factory franchise information from GM, Chrysler, and Nissan.
- Receiving mail and posting or passing to the correct person or departments.
- Accounts Payable and Posting Purchases.
- Working with banking institutions (eg. payoffs, reserve payments, contract payments).
- Deposits, EFTs/ACH, wires and account transfers.
- Helping payroll company set up new hires and correcting timecards.
- Balancing and cleaning accounting schedules monthly.
- Working with financial statements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an office clerk or in a similar administrative role is preferred. Auto-dealership accounting experience a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in computer applications is essential, and experience with CDK Drive is a plus.
- Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality documentation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
