POSITION SUMMARY: The elementary Administrative Assistant will support the principal in managing the details of communication and organization involving students, parents, and faculty. This is a 12-month role.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate and problem solve

KEY RESULTS AREA #1 Produce highly effective internal and external communication
- Assist principal and Student Experience Director with all faculty and parent communication such as writing or editing the Monday Memo, newsletter announcements, and event invitations and details
- Oversee teachers’ weekly newsletters
- Problem solve successfully and graciously as a liaison between BJA and other departments
- Communicate the religious beliefs of BJA to students and student affiliates
- Answers questions concerning faith, doctrine, and creed of BJA to constituents, students, or those inquiring about BJA
KEY RESULTS AREA #2 Accurately manage details of student data, financial records, and calendar events
- Effectively organize and distribute information, typically with Excel, Word, and Canva
- Manage and evaluate monthly budget and spending
- Assist principal and SED with planning and organization of monthly activities and events
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Self-starter
- Steady under pressure
- Excellent business writer and editor
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office
