Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise Accounts Receivable and Treasury Clerks. This position will check the authorization of payments, create accounts payable checks, and reconcile payment schedules and vendor statements.
Core Responsibilities

- Assist in the oversight of daily operations of their assigned dealership group.
- Responsible for training and development of the accounting team.
- Ensure that everyone is following proper policies and procedures.
- Balance workload between the team and trouble shoot problems.
- Responsible for applying payments for accounts receivables customers and noting any shortages, calling customers, or sending copies of invoices for invoices not paid, maintaining accounts receivables schedule, customer accounts, and treasury.
- Communicate with management on collection difficulties, copying correspondence, and charges for the manager responsible.
- Ability to reconcile accounts paid by invoice instead of statement.
- Responsible for printing an aged trial balance and mailing monthly billing statements and past due statements.
- Manage the collection of NSF checks by verifying funds, exchanging for cashier’s checks, or making copies for the manager.
- Ability to provide new account forms to managers or customers upon request and verifying references on new account forms.
- Responsible for ensuring that the dealership is compliant with the current collection’s regulations; Hours that calls can be placed, place of employment calls, and number of contacts allowed.
- Provide credit history files for account status inquiries per management guidelines.
- Uses personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.
- Enforce safety precautions specific to work area.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are the minimum degrees, certifications, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position.
- Previous automotive accounting experience preferred.
- Previous customer service, collection, or accounting experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license without restrictions that affects your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
