Travis Pointe Country Club, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for an Administrative Assistant. Built in 1977, Travis Pointe is one of the state’s elite private clubs, featuring four season amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, 4 indoor courts and outdoor large tennis complex, aquatics facility, indoor golf simulators, and a fitness center.
Travis Pointe has hosted the LPGA Volvik Championship, as well as numerous tournaments throughout the years, including the EPSON Tour, the Michigan Amateur Championship, the Women’s Western Amateur, the Women’s Michigan Open, US Mid-Amateur qualifying, and numerous US Open and US Senior Open qualifiers.
This is a full-time position with 30-40 hours per week. Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant at Travis Pointe Country Club include:
- General Office Work to include:
-Distribute Mail Daily
-Stock the copy room/printer
-Manage the postage meter
-Coordinate Conference Room Calendar
-Coordinate Member Pick-Ups (wine, gate openers, checks, etc.)
-Periodically clean/organize supply closet
-Assist with filing folders/files
-Screen Phone Calls
- Creating simple Excel and Word documents.
- Creating simple marketing materials for events.
- Answering emails and phone calls in a friendly manner.
- Answer member and guest questions in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assisting the Membership Director with projects.
- Assisting with weekly emails from department heads.
- Assisting department heads with any flyers or collateral that is needed for events and programs.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Supply management.
- Organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Basic bookkeeping skills.
- Basic understanding of how to operate standard business equipment.

- Spend time making repetitive motions such as typing.
- Lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
