Travis Pointe Country Club, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for a Men's Locker Room Attendant. Built in 1977, Travis Pointe is one of the state’s elite private clubs, featuring four season amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, 4 indoor courts and outdoor large tennis  complex, aquatics facility, indoor golf simulators, and a fitness center.

Travis Pointe has hosted the LPGA Volvik Championship, as well as numerous tournaments throughout  the years, including the EPSON Tour, the Michigan Amateur Championship, the Women’s Western Amateur, the Women’s Michigan Open, US Mid-Amateur qualifying, and numerous US Open and US Senior Open qualifiers.

The Men's Locker Room Attendant at Travis Pointe requires a professional who will maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the locker rooms, assist with opening the club, and support general maintenance to ensure the club's facilities are always in top condition for members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all locker rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked with towels, toiletries, and amenities for members and guests.
• Monitor the condition of the lockers, report any damage, and ensure they are in good working order.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting members with locker-related requests and inquiries.
• Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere in the locker room at all times.

Club Opening & General Assistance:

•  Assist with the opening of the club, including unlocking doors, setting up facilities, and ensuring all areas are ready for use.
• Check all facilities, including bathrooms, gyms, pool areas, and dining areas, to ensure they are clean and in good working condition before the club opens.
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate team members or management.

Facility Maintenance:

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks around the club, including common areas, hallways, and entrances.
• Monitor and replenish supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, cleaning products) throughout the day.
• Assist in maintaining exterior areas of the club, ensuring they are tidy and presentable.
• Help with setting up and maintaining event spaces, meeting rooms, and other club facilities as needed.

Laundry Duties:

• Collect, sort, and wash towels, linens, and other items as required by the club.
• Ensure all laundry is properly laundered, dried, folded, and stored in an organized manner, ready for use by members and staff.
• Monitor the laundry supplies (detergent, fabric softener, etc.)
• Ensure the proper care of all laundry items, using the correct washing methods for different fabrics and materials to maintain quality.
• Report any damaged or worn-out items to management for replacement or repair.
• Keep the laundry area clean and organized, ensuring that all equipment (washers, dryers, laundry stations) is in good working order.
• Assist in the distribution of clean towels and linens to locker rooms, pools, fitness areas, and other designated locations.
• Work with the locker room and maintenance teams to ensure timely and efficient laundry services, especially during peak periods or events.
• Adhere to safety and hygiene standards while handling laundry and operating equipment.

Locker Assignment & Maintenance:

• Assist members in selecting and assigning lockers based on availability, ensuring each locker is properly recorded in the club’s locker management system.
• Maintain an up-to-date log of all locker assignments, including member names, locker numbers, and any special requests or preferences.
• Regularly check locker availability and ensure that all unused or unassigned lockers are clearly marked and maintained for future use.
• Monitor locker usage and assist members in accessing or transferring their lockers as needed.
• Ensure that all lockers are in good condition, and promptly report any damage or malfunctions for repair or replacement.
• Periodically inspect lockers to ensure they are clean, secure, and meet the club’s standards for member use.
• Assist with locker renewals and ensure lockers are properly cleaned and prepared for the next member when vacated.
• Handle locker-related requests with professionalism and confidentiality, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all members.

Other Responsibilities:

• Maintain communication with management and staff to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
• Assist with member check-ins or other tasks during peak times.
• Follow all safety and cleaning protocols in accordance with club policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager or Operations Manager.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
• Sense of urgency for pertinent matters.
• Knowledge of chemical safety.
• Customer service oriented.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods standing.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
