Crownstone Equipment, founded in 2018, is the parent company for 6 Bobcat Dealerships: Bobcat of Adams County, Bobcat of Frederick, Bobcat of Hagerstown, Bobcat of Lancaster, Bobcat of Reading, and Bobcat of York. As a Bobcat Dealer, we focus on selling, servicing, and renting both compact and lawn & garden equipment brands including Bobcat, Toro, Echo, STIHL, Fecon, and more.
The Branch Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations for service, parts, rental, and a function of sales at their assigned location. The Branch Manager will contribute to that effort by supervising their direct reports and working alongside corporate administration staff and department directors.
Pay range is based on experience and bonus potential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to the following):

- Professionally lead and manage a team to achieve branch sales and profit objectives and to align with company operating procedures.
- Interview, evaluate and hire new team members as necessary.
- Conduct periodic performance & compensation reviews of team members and recommend changes.
- Identify and correct team member performance and conduct deficiencies in a timely manner and address through coaching, mentoring, improvement plans and if necessary disciplinary action.
- Direct all store-based activities so that customers are served, assets are controlled, company procedures are followed, and profits are generated for all departments.
- Manages, trains, and holds responsible designated team members to achieve delegated duties and satisfactory support in all departments.
- Manages and coaches team members towards successfully achieving satisfactory customer service in all departments.
- Ensures that the store’s overall appearance and cleanliness (show room, yard, shop, store front, parking lot, parts room, etc) is exceptionally maintained.
- Ensures that each store’s inventory (new, used, rental, parts) and displays are maintained, kept clean, and displayed in a professional manner.
- Ensures that each store’s inventory (new, used, rental, parts) is accurate and accounted for through cycle counts and internal/external audits.
- Ensures corporate compliance with safety as established by the Safety and Compliance Manager.
- Operate branch in a manner to give maximum support to the sales department.
- Responsible for the accuracy of all invoicing, making sure to include additional billing items such as transportation charges, cleaning charges, fuel charges, rental damages, damage waiver, etc.
- Ensures that parts transfers and equipment traffic tickets are being handled in a timely manner
- Ensures that accounts receivable balances are being monitored and action is being taken
- Works in cooperation and maintains communication with all department directors for feedback related to service, rental, parts, and sales operations between department team members and the Regional Director of Branch Operations
- Ensures that all business system processes are being followed in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
- Ensures that team members are following protocols and standard operating procedures as it relates to all department activities (sales, rental, parts, service)
- Communicates directly with Regional Director of Branch Operations to hold team members accountable when it is recognized these processes are not being followed.
- Ensures that inventory is received, documented, and reported according to the standard operating procedure.
- Responsible for reviewing P&L statements to analyze strengths and weakness as well as discuss areas for improvement.
- Other duties assigned by the Regional Director of Branch Operations.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma required
- Bachelors degree in Sales, Business, or related field, or equivalent preferred
- Drivers license required.
- Computer Literacy:
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- Demonstrates proficiency in running reports and queries in the dealerships business system.
- Efficient and responsible use of email and a time planning or management system (Outlook, etc.)
- Organized electronic filing system
- Proficiency with OEM information systems
- At least two years of agricultural or construction retail experience preferred
- DOT Medical Card preferred.
Essential Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasional lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision. The employee must also be able to travel regularly for work.
