Job Summary:

  • Diagnose and Repair Equipment: Accurately diagnose issues and repair a variety of equipment in the field to support both rental and service operations. 
    • This can include but is not limited to: heavy construction equipment, trucks, generators, aerial equipment, and other related heavy equipment and components. 
    • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment daily
    • Test products after service/repair completion to ensure products are functioning properly
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with fellow technicians, support team, and management to ensure a streamlined workflow and timely completion of tasks. Share knowledge and participate actively in team meetings.
  • Document: Utilize technical manuals and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues. Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training to stay current with the latest technological advancements in agricultural machinery.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

What do you need?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or experience with similar diesel equipment preferred.
  • Must be proficient with electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems (EX: electrical troubleshooting & hydraulic system troubleshooting)
  • Must be willing to travel daily for work and training as necessary (local travel)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record 
  • Must be able to work independently and successfully switch between tasks throughout the day.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • This position requires but is not limited to lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, listening and speaking with internal and external clients.
