ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides information and collaborates with Facilities Process Analyst and line employees to assist with and implement programs related to work simplification, cost reduction, new methods, efficiency, and improvement.
Confers with manufacturing staff to ensure efficient production methods.
Prepares charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
Evaluates data and prepares reports, including reports to management for justification to purchase new equipment.
Presents recommendations to management, including revision of methods of operation or material handling, alterations in equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standards.
Ensures compliance with all governmental standards when analyzing or implementing new procedures by coordinating with safety and maintenance coordinators.
Reviews, researches and recommends additional machinery due to process changes.
Confers with management on pertinent process procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.S. or A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school required; Bachelors degree desired, but not required. Education or a minimum of 1 year work experience in the engineering or manufacturing field is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have some computer knowledge in MS Office Programs, specifically MS Word and MS Excel charts, graphs and formulas. Some basic knowledge of AutoCAD preferred but not required.
