The Procurement Specialist monitors a portfolio of items and a portfolio of suppliers, with the aim of ensuring that the components are available on the date of the defined need.
They apply the inventory management policy developed by planning, sets up the procurement plan using the defined planning software and processes the creation and monitoring of orders until delivery in MFG-PRO/SAP.

The Procurement Specialist monitors a portfolio of items and a portfolio of suppliers, with the aim of ensuring that the components are available on the date of the defined need.
They apply the inventory management policy developed by planning, sets up the procurement plan using the defined planning software and processes the creation and monitoring of orders until delivery in MFG-PRO/SAP.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze stocks and replenishment proposals and proceed with stock replenishment orders in the defined planning software.
- Analyze stock replenishment proposals to be allocated to the different hubs (Indianapolis, Genk, etc.) and proceed with orders and issue associated delivery notes.
- Configure items (supply times, batch size) with a view to optimizing stocks and according to the life of the item and information from the supplier information update.
- Record and track purchase orders in MFG/PRO, SAP and the defined EDI tool: creation, confirmation, reminders, dispute resolution (price, quantity, quality)
- Analyze the list of shortages (current customer orders) and shortage risks (stock level compared to statistical needs)
- Analyze excess stock items and shift current orders in conjunction with the supplier
- Assistance if needed to provide data to the Parts Procurement Manager for business performance indicators (OTIF, availability rate, shortage ratio, stock level)
- In-depth knowledge of the Supply Chain is essential: procurement and inventory management techniques, logistics flows (transport, customs, incoterm).
- General knowledge of purchasing techniques and financial data (stock rotation, depreciation, etc.)
- Good knowledge of SAP ECC and/or S4 HANA would be an asset.
