Die Cast Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:  

To direct the Die Cast resources for the fulfillment of the production objectives, guaranteeing the deliveries to the customer and the fulfillment of the production program properly and on time. Responsible for the continuous improvement activities for the optimization of the processes, ensuring the respect to the safety, quality and efficiency standards required by the client and defined by the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise the 3rd Shift Die Cast area personnel, reviewing the fulfillment of the activities and objectives defined by the staff. Managing their training and giving continuous feedback for the improvement of their performance so that the personnel can fulfill their activities according to the standards and requirements defined by the organization and the client.
• Supervise the Die Cast area production activities, organizing and managing the necessary resources for the fulfillment of the production plan and the efficiency goal to ensure the fulfillment of the deliveries to the customer with the quality and quantity required.
• Ensure the product's quality, ensuring compliance with the release and product control protocols. Reviewing the quality performance of each product to deliver a product with the specifications and criteria defined by the customer.
• Ensure compliance and sustainability of the standards and guidelines defined by the organization, training staff, auditing compliance with standards and guidelines, guaranteeing the correction of the deviations found to guarantee the sustainability of the defined standards and to guarantee the optimal conditions of the work area.
• Supervise continuous improvement activities, defining and organizing improvement projects with multidisciplinary working groups to optimize the process, reduce costs and improve the use of productive resources.
• Ensuring DOL (5S Philosophy) principles are being followed and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards are being worn and followed.  
• Ensuring all communication regarding productivity and quality are being communicated to management and staff promptly.
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as required

REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Must have 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Supervisor in a in an industrial, manufacturing, or in a Die Cast Facility; and/or equivalent military experience.
• Die Cast experience is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with company employees, vendors, contractors, and all levels of management.
• Must be quality conscious, paying a high degree of attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.

Salary : $64,000 - $82,000
