Job Summary
As a Building Automation System Engineer, you will provide program oversight for operating and maintaining all building automation systems, maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. Its employees are responsible for supporting, performing preventive maintenance, and repairing equipment and systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain a total facilities systems management program, which includes all the various connected and separate electrical, mechanical, life, and safety systems that are operational in a facility
- Follow all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives regarding system operations and work safety
- Inspect systems to ensure equipment operation is within design capabilities and achieves the client's prescribed operational conditions
- Responsible for programming, inspecting, troubleshooting, and adjusting electrical and mechanical equipment, instrumentation, and related information systems
- Respond quickly to emergencies, summoning assistance as needed
- Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and resources and order vital materials to finish the repairs
- Perform assigned repairs and emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as required
- Finish the required and assigned training at a satisfactory level
- Participate in all related programs & activities as required. This includes incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment
- Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury and stop work if required.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques / procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions
- Mentor others and share in-depth knowledge of their own job discipline and broad understanding of several job disciplines within the function
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams
- Work within broad guidelines and policies
- Explain complex or critical information.
