Overview
The General Maintenance position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of multiple facilities/properities. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to maintain a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties (include but are not limited to)
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building structures.
- Painting, remodeling, and other construction projects.
- Landscaping to enhance the appearance of facilities.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors when necessary, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in facilities maintenance, construction or handyman-related fields. The more areas of knowledge the better. Anything you do cannot do or need help with will be contracted out. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with the team effectively. Experience in supervising teams is a plus.
