Position Summary
As the Medical Equipment Representative, you will support the Defense Health Agency-Facilities Enterprise (DHA-FE) IO&T (Initial Outfitting and Transition) mission at an on-site location in San Antonio, TX . You will serve as a subject-matter expert in medical equipment planning, procurement, installation, and property management, ensuring efficient outfitting processes for military medical facilities. This role involves close collaboration with DHA-FE staff, government personnel, vendors, and project managers to ensure all furniture, fixtures, and equipment are properly integrated into facility design and construction processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide functional expertise, counsel, and advice on medical equipment initial outfitting process efficiencies, procedures, and programmatic issues.
- Research and extract data using Business Objects reports; perform management analysis of information in the DMLSS database.
- Assist in the creation and interpretation of criteria, standards, tools, and templates in support of military medical facilities.
- Evaluate requirements, develop project documentation, and ensure proper equipment planning, procurement, and installation.
- Coordinate with project managers, equipment custodians, and Clinical Engineering to develop and maintain high-dollar equipment procurement budgets.
- Attend on-site Initial Outfitting user reviews and project meetings to determine equipment reuse or procurement needs.
- Prepare, review, and modify comprehensive room content listings, design layouts, and project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with DOD Criteria, including UFCs, MIL-STD 1691, and DHA LAN / WLAN requirements.
- Provide guidance during development of FFE (furniture, fixtures, equipment) contractual specifications for various design-build and design-bid-build projects.
- Track project progress, assess contractor performance, and support transition, relocation, installation, and commissioning of medical equipment.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g., architects, engineers, general contractors) to maintain alignment on project objectives.

Approximately 25% travel required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations for project site visits and on-site support.
