Description
The BAA Repairs Technician will collaborate with the Warranty and Repairs Supervisor to receive ineffective or broken products sent in by our customers and repair the product. The products could be warranty repairs or paid repair by the customer. This position requires knowledge of the entire product line. In addition, they will be answering phone calls and emails related to the warranty and repairs process.
Responsibilities
- Receive and assess damaged product that has been sent in for repairs.
- Coordinate warranty status eligibility with Customer Service.
- Inspect damaged products with keen attention to detail to determine the faulty part(s).
- Repair damaged parts by following product and design maps to ensure they are satisfactory to the customer.
- Remove items from inventory to stage working area for the day.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area and environment.
- Answers phone calls and emails related to the warranty and repairs process.
- Coordinates with Technical Customer Service to understand the issue(s) with the product and troubleshoot the repair.
- Keeps Customer Service updated on status of repairs for communication with customers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Understanding of basic engineering principles.

Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Experience working with small electronic repair preferred.
- Prior equipment maintenance experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
- Must be able to safely access and navigate the operations and production areas.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds if needed.
- Must be able to work with standard power tools.
