Health Provider:
We are looking for a Health Provider to be responsible for assisting veterans seeking to gain service connection for their disability with the VA disability compensation system, many will need to undergo a Compensation and Pension (C&P) exam / Disability Benefits Questionnaire. The VA uses these exams to evaluate the veteran’s impairment to determine (1) if the veteran’s condition is service connected and (2) the severity of the impairment for schedular disability rating purposes.
To be successful as a Health Provider, you should be empathic but resolute in your decision-making, and attentive to detail. Ultimately, a top-notch Health Provider will exhibit cultural competence and exceptional teamwork skills.
Health Provider Responsibilities:
- Performing physical exams and patient observations.
- Review patients' medical histories and records pertaining to disability claims
- Consulting with healthcare professionals and families.
Health Provider Requirements:
- Masters degree from an accredited program in your field.
- Licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and board-certified by appropriate medical governing board.
- Authorization in the state where employed to practice in family health or a provider generalist in the state where employed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
