Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the franchise development strategy in alignment with the company's overall growth goals, focusing on both market penetration and brand expansion.
- Analyze market trends and franchise performance data to identify new territories for expansion and understand emerging opportunities.
- Set ambitious but achievable sales targets for franchise growth and provide a clear roadmap to meet these goals, including short- and long-term strategies.
- Assess the competitive landscape in the fitness and franchising industries to maintain BODYBAR Pilates’ competitive advantage and identify new trends to capitalize on.
- Drive innovation in franchise recruitment strategies by continuously seeking new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve the sales cycle and candidate conversion rates.
- Refine the sales process by incorporating feedback from candidates, brokers, and internal stakeholders to enhance the franchise offering and experience.
- Create and implement lead generation strategies, partnering with marketing and public relations teams to generate high-quality leads and expand the company’s network of potential franchisees.
- Oversee the full education and sales process for franchise candidates, from initial introduction to franchise agreement signing.
- Oversee the background check process to ensure alignment of BODYBAR’s values and to protect its image and reputation.
- Oversee the Franchisee and Leadership validation process to ensure candidates are receiving the best experience and most accurate information.
- Audit the records of candidate interactions, profiles, and buying stages in the CRM system to ensure accuracy and identify trends to improve the sales process.
- Ensure the Meet The Team experience for candidates is seamless and well-executed.
- Oversee the sale or transfer of studios between existing BODYBAR Franchise Partners. Ensure prompt receipt and review of all required documentation.
- Follow up on all communication between the Director of Franchise Sales and franchisee candidates post-Meet The Team and assist with closing the sale when necessary.
- Nurture relationships with existing Bodybar Franchise owners by identifying Territory Expansion needs then supporting them through the expansion process.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships within our selected broker networks to ensure BODYBAR Pilates is top-of-mind when recommending franchise opportunities.
- Establish performance benchmarks and metrics for broker partnerships to set and track expectations, ensuring alignment with overall franchise sales objectives.
- Act as a liaison between the broker network and BODYBAR through regular and routine communication, including emails, in-person meetings, and weekly phone calls.
- Attend key broker conferences to network, build brand awareness, and foster strong connections with industry professionals.
- Maintain a professional presence by writing and posting deal announcements to enhance brand visibility and celebrate successful partnerships.
- Oversee the duties and responsibilities of the Director of Franchise Sales then reallocating resources as necessary to ensure sales goals are being met.
- Collaborate on improving the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) to optimize the sales process while ensuring factual accuracy of the material.
- Provide Legal with candidate details needed to draft their Franchise Agreement and/or draft template language as directed by CEO
- Ensure the receipt of expansion requests from franchisees to the Expansion Committee, and inform the Committee about the pertinent details.
- Develop and ongoing reports to track and communicate candidate status and lead progress to the executive team.
- Develop, analyze and report on key performance metrics related to franchise sales, conversion rates, and candidate engagement.
- Announce territory award upon receipt of executed Agreement and Franchise or Development Fee.
- Ensure that franchise offerings are always in line with current regulations and best practices by working closely with legal and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to franchise sales by ensuring that candidates are thoroughly vetted, and that the company’s processes and contracts reflect best practices.
- Ensure the CRM contains accurate, up-to-date FDD and candidate information in compliance with legal, BODYBAR, and FTC guidelines.
- Assist with other leadership projects or functions outside of core responsibilities based on lead flow and business needs.
- Represent BODYBAR at industry events, conferences, and in community engagements to enhance brand visibility and establish thought leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, sales, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in franchise sales, business units sales or related roles.
- 5 years of experience in people and process management, with expertise in leading cross-functional teams, optimizing workflows, and achieving goals efficiently.
- Proven track record in franchise development or sales leadership with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
- Experience in franchising is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to analyze KPIs, and provide data-driven recommendations to the executive team and board.
- Solid understanding of business performance metrics and franchise sales processes.
- Proven capability in balancing short-term goals with long-term strategic initiatives to ensure sustainable growth in a competitive market.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, CRM systems (FranConnect), territory mapping software (Gbbis), project management software (ASANA), Google Suite, and virtual meeting platforms.
- Skilled in navigating complex discussions, handling objections, and finding common ground to close deals successfully.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple candidates and leads simultaneously.
- Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A dedicated team player with a passion for supporting franchisees and growing the BODYBAR Pilates brand.
- Willingness to travel as frequently as required (Up to 75% of the time).
- Available to work some evening and weekends in support of the franchise system.
