Maintenance Department Overview:
The Maintenance Department at Bodycote's Berlin, CT facility is responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained to support production operations. Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to ensure optimal performance
- Identify and report any issues or malfunctions with equipment or facilities, and provide recommendations for repair or replacement
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment usage
- Provide support to production teams during shift changes and special events, such as equipment installations or upgrades
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including principles of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds
