Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Oncology department located at our Ridgefield CT facility. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented co-op student to join our Immunology Research team. The successful candidate will assist in staining histology samples using multi-color panels to help identify and characterize immune archetypes. This position offers hands-on experience in a cutting-edge research environment and the opportunity to contribute to impactful scientific discoveries.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and stain histology samples using multi-color immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) techniques.
- Assist in the optimization and validation of staining protocols.
- Perform image acquisition and analysis using advanced microscopy and imaging software.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret and present data.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
- Major or minor in related field such as Molecular biology, Cancer biology, or Immunology
- Must be a current graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing
- Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
- Graduate and Advanced Degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university
- Basic understanding of histology and immunology principles.
- Experience with laboratory techniques, including sample preparation and staining.
- Familiarity with microscopy and imaging software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
