The Regulatory Administration organization within Boeing is looking for a Program Integration Engineer – Regulatory Administration (Experienced, Senior, or Subject Matter Expert) support Development and Production programs for leadership directed projects. This position will be based out of Everett, Washington.
This position offers the potential to broaden skills and experience across multiple engineering disciplines. The candidate must be willing to stretch beyond their experience base and lead where process definition may not exist or is unclear. The job requires an individual who is self-motivated, able to work under consultative direction, has excellent people skills, and has the ability to negotiate, build consensus, and deliver results.
Position Responsibilities:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
Provides technical, business and integration leadership, and program/project management for Regulatory Administration on certification issues requiring cross-functional and cross organization coordination and integration
Develops requirements and Statement Of Work (SOW) to satisfy ongoing and new business requests
Works with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), other regulatory agencies as well as management to obtain approval, developing integrated plans, establishing and leading teams, monitoring and responding to technical developments, risk management, and managing cost/schedule aspects of projects to closure
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. **Note: The expectation is 2-3 days onsite.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
3 years of experience in engineering and/or engineering project management
Experience in aerospace certification
Experience in technical leadership
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience communicating with leadership
Experience working with FAA or ODA
Experience in at least one of the following disciplines: Airframe, Flight
Sciences, Interiors, Systems, Propulsion and an understanding of certification processes
Experience with complex airplane level integration projects from concept to in-service implementation, technical accomplishment, and leadership
Strong oral and written communication skills
