Position Overview:
The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing and internalizing Boerger LLC's IT operations, moving away from managed IT services. This role will manage all aspects of IT infrastructure, systems, and security while facilitating IT support for a new facility expansion. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT systems management, project execution, and strategic technology planning. Additionally, this role will collaborate closely with our global headquarters IT department in Germany to align technology initiatives and ensure seamless integration across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure & Security Management:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, security, and communications, ensuring seamless operations.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols, disaster recovery plans, and IT compliance measures.
- Ensure high system availability, data integrity, and security across all platforms.
Internal IT Development & Optimization:
- Lead the transition from managed IT services to an in-house IT structure.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to the company's needs.
- Provide technical support and training for employees to optimize IT utilization.
New Facility Expansion IT Integration:
- Plan and execute IT infrastructure setup for the company's new facility expansion.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth technology implementation.
- Establish scalable IT solutions that support long-term business growth.
Collaboration with Global Headquarters IT:
- Work closely with the global IT team in Germany to align technology initiatives, security protocols, and IT standards.
- Ensure seamless integration of IT systems and infrastructure with global operations.
- Act as the primary liaison between the U.S. subsidiary and global headquarters for IT-related matters.
Project Management & Vendor Coordination:
- Manage IT-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for IT vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality support.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance business operations.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, infrastructure oversight, and IT strategy development.
- Experience leading IT projects, including infrastructure setup and system migrations.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and networking.
- Proficiency in IT automation and systems integration.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and internationally.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
