Job Overview:
Boga Fix, Inc. is a heavy duty equipment and fleet repair shop. We are seeking an Estimator under thegeneral direction of the Shop Manager, who will be accountable for evaluating damage and using their knowledge of parts and labor rates to determine the cost and time needed to make necessary repairs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Examine tractors & trailers to determine the extent of damage.
- Determine the feasibility of repair versus the replacement of parts.
- Estimate the cost of labor and the salvage value on the total truck or trailer loss.
- Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair costs, estimates, and recommendations.
- Collect data and prepare reports in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Obtain all signatures, work authorizations, and powers of attorney.
- Utilize estimator guides & software to determine a proper timeline and the cost of repairs for customers.
- Negotiate to reach an agreed price prior to processing the job.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters on a continual basis to ensure proper processing of repairs.
- Work with the Shop Manager to determine repairability and scheduling as well as to prioritize the tasks of the job.
- Collaborate with the Shop Manager to review and ensure the accuracy of the estimate.
- Advise managers of any additional costs not included on the initial estimate.
- Maintain efficiency and productivity benchmarks as assigned.
- Mentor and aid in training inexperienced technicians as applicable.
- Document all relevant information on repairs.
- Coordinate with others to troubleshoot as necessary.
- Manage time effectively and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications:
- Must be at least 23 years old
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-3 years of experience required Experience with various estimator programs
Required Skills:
- Capable of working with minimal direction and broad communication.
- The ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as estimate guides, safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using common sense and set guidelines.
- Proficient computer skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. * Ability to tolerate work stress.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
