We are looking for an enthusiastic Entry-Level AccountingAssistant with 2-3 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate financial tracking, reporting, and management of various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing project invoices and lien release tracking
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and documentation for all projects.
- Review and approve invoices, ensuring compliance with contract terms and project specifications.
- Support project managers with financial analysis and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accountingprocedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely payment processing.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and construction project accounting processes.
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Sage 300, Viewpoint) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various teams.
- A strong problem-solver with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Construction industry experience is highly preferred but not required.
