Schedule for the Insurance Coordinator:
- Monday: 9:00AM - 5:00PM
- Tuesday: 9:00AM - 5:00PM
- Wednesday: 9:00AM - 5:00PM
- Thursday: 9:00AM - 5:00PM
- Friday: 9:00AM - 5:00PM
Requirements and Responsibilities of the Insurance Coordinator:
- Efficiently verify patients’ insurance eligibility, benefits, and limitations before appointments.
- Accurately prepare and submit insurance claims in a timely manner.
- Monitor and track the status of submitted claims; promptly address any delays or denials.
- Research and appeal denied claims to maximize reimbursements.
- Post insurance payments and adjustments, ensuring they align with EOB’s.
- Regularly review and reconcile patient ledgers, ensuring accurate posting of payments, adjustments, and balances.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their financial responsibilities, including outstanding balances, co-payments, and insurance coverage.
- Monitor and manage the accounts receivable report to reduce aging balances and improve cash flow.
- Generate and send patient statements; address inquiries regarding billing discrepancies.
- Prepare detailed financial and insurance reports for the practice, including monthly collections and outstanding claims data.
- Provide clear explanations of insurance benefits and financial policies to patients.
- Continuously evaluate and refine processes to streamline insurance and financial workflows.
- Review treatment plans with patients to get them scheduled for their next appointment
- Work with the front office team to monitor and fill the schedule.
- Reach out to patients who are due for a recall or pending treatment.
- Experience with Elite Dentistry Center and insurance portals highly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and insurance companies.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple responsibilities
