SUMMARY
The Janitorial Supervisor position oversees a janitorial crew. Helps create an excellent experience for guests by maintaining a clean and safe environment in the Bogus Basin lodge areas. This is an overnight position that will work mainly during the nighttime and early morning hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Responsible for supervising a crew of janitors. Making sure they are compliant with all standards and protocols, providing direction and assistance with all task that are outlined below.
- Responsible for maintaining a neat and clean condition of all assigned areas including but not limited to, picking up trash, emptying garbage containers, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning windows.
- Clean and restock bathrooms, reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff.
- Clear walkways, steps, decks, and doorways of snow and ice.
- Maintain a professional attitude toward guests and staff.
- Promote safety by following safe practices and reporting any unsafe conditions or situations.
- Assist guests with any questions or problems that they may have, if unable to provide assistance, seek help of supervisor and/or manager.
- Ability and willingness to drive a Bogus Basin issued van up and down from the ski resort. Must be at least 25 years old, and pass minimum driving record qualifications.
- Ability and willingness to work after hours- late night to early morning hours.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Perform other related tasks, as necessary.
Requirements
- Passionate about the Bogus Basin Mission.
- Ability to perform tasks in a timely accurate manner, with or without supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Employee is frequently required to stand, balance, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- The employee must occasionally lift, move, and/or support up to 35 lbs.
- Manual dexterity to perform basic janitorial functions such as stocking and cleaning.
- Ability to pass a background check.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Restaurant environment, both indoors and outdoors.
- May be exposed to inclement weather.
