What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOH-Asphalt Equipment Operator position at BOH and BRM Construction?
Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in operating, and maintaining at least three (3) or more pieces of heavy equipment
(i.e. screed, paver, motor grader , rubber tire backhoe, excavator, and dozer).
Minimum of 2 years experience in Asphalt work. (i.e. screed, paver) Preferred
Asphalt Equipment Operator
Opportunity available for an experienced heavy equipment operator. This individual must observe all Boh Bros. safety protocols and be drug-free. Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from job sites assigned. Most job sites located in and around the greater New Orleans area.
Duties include but are not limited to operating a variety of power construction equipment including screeds, pavers, motor graders, excavators, front end loaders, rubber tire backhoes, dozers, used to place asphalt, concrete or other hard surface paving materials; performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment; performing other duties on the jobsite when not operating equipment, housekeeping at job site, checking safety protocol, beginning of shift set-up and end of shift clean-up, etc. Must be able to work in a team setting with other craft workers engaged in heavy construction activities.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, cold, heat, humidity, and some work at heights and in excavations, able to work at various job sites and locations assigned, and understand directions. Also may be exposed to hazards associated with but not limited to dust, odors, fumes, noise, and vibration hazards.

Boh Bros. is a union contractor. All wages and benefits are determined by the union agreement. All new hires will be paid 90% of the journeyman scale for the first 300 hours of employment.
