What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOH-Operator - Heavy Equipment position at BOH and BRM Construction?
Summary of Position: Must observe all Boh Bros. safety protocol. Duties include operating a variety of power construction equipment including screed, pavers, motor graders, excavators, front end loaders , rubber tire backhoes, dozers, place concrete or other hard surface paving materials; performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment; performing other duties on the job site when not operating equipment.
- Equipment Requirements: Must have a minimum of I year experience in operating and maintain as least three (3) or more pieces of heavy equipment (i.e. screed, paver, motor grader , rubber tire backhoe, excavator, and dozer).
- Experience/Skills Required: Must have experience in the road or construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather conditions, and understand directions. Must be devoted and reliable. TWIC card required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, cold, heat , humidity , and some work at heights. Also may be exposed to hazards associated with but not limited to dust, odors , fumes, noise, and vibration haza rds. According to this ana ly sis, this job is classified as:
Medium: Lifting 50 # maximum, frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects up to 20 #; unrestricted walking and standing. 100 % of the time.
