What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOH-Mechanic position at BOH and BRM Construction?
Job Summary:
This position performs as a mechanic with knowledge of construction equipment including, but not limited to cranes, excavators, dozers, concrete and asphalt paving equipment, light and heavy-duty trucks, utility and heavy-haul trailers, outboard engines, generators, air compressors, pile driving equipment and asphalt plant machinery.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Performs duties following company safety and quality protocols.
2) Perform inspections, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.
3) Owns standard hand tools for mechanic work.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
1) 3 -5 years of experience with construction and/or automotive equipment including:
a. engine (and exhaust emissions systems),
b. electrical,
c. hydraulic,
d. pneumatic,
e. undercarriage,
f. brakes,
g. suspension.
2) Experienced with computer diagnostic programs such as:
a. Cat ET,
b. John Deere Service Advisor,
c. Cummins Insite,
d. Ford IDS.
3) Familiar with crane assembly/disassembly.
4) Possess a Class “D” driver’s license or the ability to obtain a Class D license.
5) Possess or be able to obtain a TWIC.
6) Available to work overtime including weekends, night shifts and/or be on call as needed.
