What are the responsibilities and job description for the SECURITY OFFICER- GROVE EVENTS position at Bohemian Club?
The Bohemian Grove is situated on 2,700 acres of towering redwood forest in the lower Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. For more than 150 years Club members and their guests have ventured to the Grove to enjoy and partake in the arts, music, literature and drama as well as nature walks and fine dining.

2025 Bohemian Grove Events dates:
Spring Jinks - Monday, June 9rd - Sunday, June 15th
Spring Picnic - June 28th
Encampment - Monday, July 7th - Friday, August 1st
General
Staff are assigned to static posts for the purpose of welcoming members and guests as well checking valid credentials for all those entering the Grove property
Patrol assigned areas to observe and detect unauthorized persons and suspicious activity
Prepare logs and reports as required
Uniform
Polo shirt, pants and jacket provided
Dark brown or black shoes or boots
Other Duties or Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old.
Personal demeanor must be friendly at all times.
With or without reasonable accommodations the physical and mental requirements of this position may require the incumbent to see, hear, speak and write clearly.
The incumbent may be required to reach with hands and arms and be able to stoop and kneel.
The incumbent may be required to frequently stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time and may be required to climb stairs and walk up inclines and on uneven terrain.
Physical requirements may also include lifting and/or moving up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
OTHER
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Club. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Bohemian Club rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the Club’s facilities. Employees who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
