What are the responsibilities and job description for the RESTURANT BUSSER-GROVE EVENTS position at Bohemian Club?
The Bohemian Grove is situated on 2,700 acres of towering redwood forest in the lower Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. For more than 150 years Club members and their guests have ventured to the Grove to enjoy and partake in the arts, music, literature and drama as well as nature walks and fine dining.

- Spring Jinks - Monday, June 9th - Sunday, June 15th
- Spring Picnic - June 28
- Encampment - Monday, July 7th - Sunday, August 1st
Restaurant Busser
The grove dining circle busser is responsible for the cleanliness of the dining area and the set-up of stations or tables. He/she must be willing to provide outstanding service to our membership.
DUTIES
- Set-up of all stations in the dining circle.
- Bus tables and carry dirty dishes to the dish room
- Assist servers with resetting tables
- Assist servers with serving the membership
- Break down of the dining room and stations
- Overall cleanliness of the work area
QUALIFICATIONS
- 16 years of age or older (if under the age of 18 must be able to obtain a work permit before you can start work).
- Acknowledge any member with-in 10 feet with a smile and greeting
- Carry 30-40 lbs bus tubs with dirty dishes
- Must be willing to stand, walk, lift, and carry trays/ bus tubs on uneven ground during entire shift
- Show a sense of urgency
- Have a positive attitude
- Show up in proper uniform (ie. Clean black closed toe shoes, black socks, ironed black slacks no jeans, and white t shirt)
- Employees must be well groomed and stay attentive to the membership through entire shift
- Be willing to complete side jobs during slow periods in service
- Be willing to ask questions or to ask for help if needed
- Be a team player
- Be able to communicate effectively in English
- Must work in a safe manner when lifting trays and dealing with hot items (food, plates, coffee, etc.).
- Must love being outdoors.
OTHER
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Club. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Bohemian Club rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the Club’s facilities. Employees who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
