Job Summary:
Oversee and optimize our forklift maintenance and repair operations. In this role, you will lead a team of technicians and support staff to ensure prompt, efficient, and high-quality service for our fleet of forklifts or customer equipment. Your leadership and expertise will be vital in maintaining operational efficiency, safety standards, and customer satisfaction
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day service operations, ensuring timely and efficient maintenance and repair of forklifts and related equipment.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of service technicians and staff to enhance performance and technical skills.
- Develop and implement service schedules, preventive maintenance plans, and repair protocols to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain strong communication with customers to address service needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with service quality.
- Monitor and report on operational performance metrics, such as repair turnaround time, costs, and customer feedback.
- Ensure adherence to all workplace safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, equipment advancements, and best practices to continuously improve service processes.
- Visit current and prospective customers to establish and increase the level of service business.
- Prepare service repair quotations.
- Authority to stop production in the event due to poor quality, unsafe parts or conditions appear.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Next Level Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
Position Requirements:
- Education:
o Associate Dgree preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in forklift maintenance and repair, with at least five (5) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong technical knowledge of forklift equipment, including electric, gas, and diesel models.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with both the team and customers.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as Microsoft products, managing files and records, organizational skills and workplace terminology.
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

Physical Requirements:
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using hands and fingers to manipulate tools, operate machinery, or perform delicate tasks.
- Visual Acuity: Sufficient vision to read documents, operate equipment, or perform tasks that require accurate visual perception.
- Hearing Ability: Adequate hearing to understand verbal instructions, communicate with others, or detect auditory signals or warnings.
- Sitting: Ability to sit for long periods of time.
