Our Melville, NY office is looking for a Permitting Intern who embodies this purpose.
What You'll Do:
- Assist project team with the necessary preparation/delivery/pickup/deadlines of various permit submittal packages
- Assist permitting project team monitor status of various applications through the various stages of the approval process
- Prepare and assist with necessary applications, fees, and signatures required for submittal
- Research, understand, and update filing requirements for jurisdictions identified while maintaining data base of critical jurisdictional decision makers
- Communicate and coordinate with various internal and external project team members, including permitting and design teams
- Communicate plan examiner comments in a timely manner as needed
- Schedule appointments, inspections, and other applicable meetings
- Develop and edit business documents from information provided
- Maintain organized filing/document management process for electronic and paper documents
- Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:
- High School diploma or GED required, Associates/Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Efficiency finding firm knowledge and other relevant business information
- Superior customer service skills
- Team oriented with excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Organizational and time-management skills
- High energy and assertive curiosity
- Prioritize and multitask as required to meet accelerated schedules or changes in strategy
- Valid Driver’s License or ability to utilize public transportation if working in urban area
$18.40 - $27.51. Total compensation will be determined by other considerations such as experience, qualifications and educational background.
