Flexible Workplace
This role is a flex office/home role and comes with the expectation you will engage onsite a certain number of working days per month, in our brand-new office located in Dublin, Ohio, with your Bold Penguin colleagues and customers. On-site workdays will be managed at the team level to maintain an environment focused on work-life balance, innovation velocity, and the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
In this role, you will be expected to work 20% of working days per month (4 days per month on average) in the office. This is a minimum expectation. All employees are welcome to work in the office as much as they like. Applicants must be local (within 35 miles) to Dublin, Ohio.
YOUR ROLE
We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing data team. At Bold Penguin, you'll be at the forefront of transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive our business forward. You'll collaborate closely with Customer Success, Product, and Operations teams, answering critical questions about our Exchange and Terminal products. Your analysis will fuel smarter decisions, drive product development, and ultimately enhance the customer experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau to provide valuable insights into key business metrics.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze data
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions and identify trends within Bold Penguin’s Exchange and Terminal data
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams, translating complex findings into actionable business strategies.
- Perform audits and reconciliations on the output of your data sets to ensure accuracy and uphold data integrity
- Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in business intelligence and data analytics, recommending and implementing improvements to our analytics infrastructure.
- Participate in the full analytics development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance of analytics solutions.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 3 Years of experience writing advanced SQL
- 3 years of experience in a business intelligence or data analysis role
- 3 years of experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Census/Hightouch, Redshift/Snowflake, Python etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in interpreting complex software architectures and data models
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner
- Experience in the insurance or Insurtech industry is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, (up to 8 hours per day) at a desk working on a computer.
- Must be able to use standard office equipment for extended periods of time, including but not limited to, a mouse, keyboard, phone and video conferencing.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to access and navigate the corporate office.

The national salary range for this role is $75,000 to $115,000. The expected starting salary range for this role at Bold Penguin is $84,500 to $105,700
