- Operate and monitor machine mailing equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of mail pieces.
- Set up machines for various mailing tasks, adjusting settings based on job requirements and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on mailing machines to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Sort and prepare mail according to postal regulations and company guidelines.
- Verify accuracy of mailing lists, labels, and financial transactions related to mailing processes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of mailing projects and respond to any issues that arise during processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Keep detailed records of machine performance, production output, and any operational challenges encountered.
- Assist in training and mentoring new employees as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably in a mailing or printing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of postal regulations and best practices in mailing operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating mailing software and machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and reaching.
- Manual dexterity for operating machinery and performing maintenance tasks.
- Moderate noise level due to operation of machinery that can be intense.
- Minor workspace restrictions and moderate exposure to dirt and dust.
- Working near continual rotating moving and mechanical parts.
- The job is subject to interruptions and production schedule changes at times to meet customer satisfaction.
