Job Summary:
The HOA Compliance Officer is responsible for conducting a 3-hour inspection every month to ensure residents comply with community rules. The primary focus will be on trash left in breezeways, excessive items on balconies, pet waste that is not picked up, and prohibited grills. Additionally, at times the compliance officer would address noise complains and unauthorized parking issues. During the monthly inspection the Compliance Officer will walk the property for 1.5 hours and then go to the onsite office for 1.5 hours to enter the warnings and violations into a computer. This role requires a fair but firm approach, issuing friendly warnings first before escalating to formal violations. The Compliance Officer must be comfortable enforcing rules, documenting violations, and communicating with owners and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one inspection per month, typically the first Tuesday of each month. checking for:
- Trash left in breezeways.
- Excessive items stored on balconies.
- Pet waste that has not been picked up.
- Prohibited grills on balconies or patios.
- Issue friendly but firm warnings to residents for minor infractions before escalating to formal violations.
- Document violations accurately in the HOA’s system.
- Send email notices regarding violations and follow up as needed.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with owners, residents and the HOA board.
- Assist in enforcing community policies fairly and consistently.
