Naval Architect Intern
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated intern currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in naval architecture. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to learning and contributing to the team while gaining hands-on experience in the field.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Naval Architecture or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to learn and contribute in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be a US Citizen or US Person as defined by:
§ 120.62 U.S. person.
U.S. person means a person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). It also means any corporation, business association, partnership, society, trust, or any other entity, organization, or group that is incorporated to do business in the United States. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with general office tasks, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
- Support the Engineering department by preparing information and conducting research.
- Collaborate with company personnel across departments to support project objectives.
- Perform structural calculations and weight take-offs.
- Assist in the development of 2D drawings and 3D modeling.
- Create and analyze models using GHS (General HydroStatics) software.
- Participate in incline experiments and deadweight surveys.
- Other duties as assigned.
