This role involves the layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems, with a particular focus on Copper Nickel (CuNi) piping. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to meet production and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Layout, fabricate, and install CuNi piping systems according to technical specifications.
- Test and repair pipe systems as needed to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
- Use precision tools and equipment, including grinders and sanders, to prepare pipes for installation.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
- Minimum of 1 year of CuNi (Copper Nickel) pipe fitting experience.
- Must successfully pass a hands-on pipe fitter test, which includes:
- Creating a square cut on a CuNi pipe using a cutting grinder (Metabo).
- Applying a bevel to the pipe using a grinder with a sanding disc.
- Cutting the opposing end of the pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90-degree angle.
