Position Overview: The Blaster/Painter is responsible for the preparation of the metal surfaces for painting.
Key Responsibilities
- Will paint components, equipment, interiors, and exteriors of vessels.
- Reads and interprets paint specifications and manufacturer application instructions.
- Four (4) years of marine blasting and painting and two (2) years of continuous Company experience preferred.
- Well versed in spraying conventional, airless, or hand paint systems.
- Can apply zinc, epoxy, enamel, or other types of surface coatings.
- Familiar with SSPC preparation.
- Can troubleshoot blasting and painting equipment and read wet or dry gauges.
- Able to supervise a minimum of five (5) workers.
