Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Blaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and coating by using various blasting techniques. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards. The Blaster will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality finishes on all projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting or coating.
- Ensure proper setup and maintenance of blasting equipment.
- Apply various blasting techniques to achieve desired surface finishes.
- Perform inspections of surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Document work performed and report any issues or discrepancies to management.
- TWIC Card is a plus.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations related to blasting tasks.
- Experience with caulking, airless paint spraying, drywall installation, and construction estimating is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques, industrial painting processes, and frame carpentry is a plus.
- Previous experience in welding or maintenance person tasks will be beneficial.
- A strong understanding of safety practices in construction and industrial environments.
- 2 Years of experience.

Pay: From $21.58 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
