Job Title : Naval Architect (Hybrid Schedule Available)
Location : Lockport / Metairie, LA
Job Overview : Bollinger’s technical design group, within the business development organization, seeks an experienced Naval Architect to provide functional design expertise for various new construction programs for Government, Unmanned, and Commercial customers. The role includes contributing to proposal writing efforts.
Qualifications :
- B.S. degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in new vessel design development for marine crafts such as patrol vessels, windfarm support vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, and barges.
- Proficiency in structural design and stability analysis.
- Familiarity with auxiliary systems design is desirable.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO, and other applicable regulations.
- Experience with AutoCAD, FEA, GHS, and Rhino software is desirable.
- Experience with AutoCAD, FEA, GHS, and Rhino software is desirable.
- Proposal writing experience is a benefit.
