Salary: $16.00/hr commensurate with experience 223-day work calendar for 24-25 school year. 

 

Job Function:

The Student Support Assistant – Supplemental Title I has primary responsibility for all aspects of supporting the Administrative and Student Support Team through strategic relationship management and communications. The Assistant files, maintains, and organizes a variety of documents and information on behalf of educational personnel within the organization. In addition, the Assistant helps prepare for all meetings, and trainings conducted by the Administrative and Student Support Team and translates in parent meetings when necessary.

 

Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Principal.

 

  • Responsible for filing, retrieving, and maintaining records for the Administrative and Student Support Team as
  • Performs routine tasks like data entry, organization, cross-referencing, scanning, sorting, and other general clerical
  • Prepares requisitions and memorandums for materials required by Student Support.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Provides strong attention to details with emphasis on accuracy and quality, solid critical thinking skills, and excellent communication
  • Creates and prepares folders and other documents for various internal and external
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team
  • Maintains an appropriate level of confidentiality of employee and student
  • Translate literature for special events as needed.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability and/or willingness to learn to use and understand Microsoft Office for spreadsheets, letters and other written communication in order to communicate information with employees, administration and the Board.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to grasp, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

 

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred. 
  • Required to speak, read and write English and Spanish
