Your New Role : We’re conducting an exclusive search for a Director of Corporate HR to join the leadership team at Smith Brothers Farms, a trusted, fourth-generation, family-owned institution that has been a cornerstone of the Pacific Northwest dairy industry for over 100 years.
As Director of Corporate HR, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the HR strategy for this growing company, guiding all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, labor negotiations, benefits, and compensation. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you’ll oversee the development and implementation of HR best practices and ensure the company’s continued success and growth.
This is a hands-on role for a seasoned HR generalist. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day HR operations at both the Kent, WA, and Portland, OR, locations, while managing a small, dedicated HR team. Your leadership will drive the company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and connection, fostering a positive and dynamic workplace culture.
We’re seeking someone with a proven track record in HR, particularly in food and beverage, distribution, or manufacturing environments. Experience in labor relations and union contract negotiations is essential, as you’ll be a key player in upcoming contract discussions. Your ability to balance flexibility with strategic influence will ensure your success in this collaborative, results-driven environment.
This full-time position is based onsite at Smith Brothers’ Farms corporate office in Kent, WA, with regular travel to their Portland, OR Alpenrose location. Reliable transportation is a must.
