About the Job:

We’re looking for a Senior Manager/Director of Internal Communications to report directly to our Chief of Staff Communications and oversee the strategy and drive the execution around our first, formal internal communications strategy

It is an exciting time of growth for our company, and internal culture and communication will continue to play an important role in the success and alignment of the organization. This role will be responsible for drafting messaging and developing presentations and programming to engage various internal audiences for a variety of company-wide events and communication, including but not limited to campaign initiative launches, company announcements and regular meetings (All Hands, Town Halls, QBRs, Board Meetings, etc.). The ideal candidate will be strategic, passionate, and an expert communicator with exceptional organizational, leadership and change management skills to engage teams across the entire organization. 

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing proactive and reactive messaging that supports key initiatives and program rollouts.
  • Writing and developing messaging around various topics, including company strategy, campaigns, priorities and announcements.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement consistent messaging across the organization.
  • Partnering closely with other internal and external communications teams as well as HR, cross-functional teams  to align on communication opportunities.
  • Managing applicable programming for remote and in-person company-wide meetings (including weekly All Hands, quarterly Town Halls and Quarterly Business Reviews), which includes scheduling, creating agendas and decks, developing executive messaging, and overseeing event logistics with Facilities and Events team. 
  • Help oversee and manage company Intranet content and governance, which involves proactively working with content owners, moderating posts, and managing processes.
  • Owning and providing support on executive messaging and deck development  for company-wide and executive-level communications, including company and team meetings, quarterly Board meetings and more. 
  • Helping pull together quarterly Board decks and communication, as needed.
  • Experimenting with new, creative ways (including a Company newsletter)  to reach employees with the news and information, and drive their engagement in prioritized company initiatives and information. 
  • Developing and driving communications around updates, campaigns and change management that engage and inspire, engage and align employees. 
  • Create, distribute and maintain corporate calendar. 
  • Creating a consistent feedback loop with employees to understand impact of campaigns and opportunities for iteration on strategies that best resonate.

  • Demonstrated presentation building skills - specifically with Google Slides or Powerpoint

  • Ability to achieve results through collaboration, exerting influence without direct authority
  • Broad range of both quantitative and qualitative tools and methods for analysis. 
  • Experience counseling and influencing senior executives.
  • Experience drafting and turning complex information into relevant, engaging, timely and valuable content.
  • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously and to work autonomously including managing remote and in-person events.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to build and iterate on process across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Understanding of each of our stakeholder groups, both internally and externally, and how to prioritize a constantly-evolving set of options and possibilities
  • A team player who is willing and happy to help

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Communications or PR, with at least 3 years of experience in Internal Communications
  • Direct experience working within a fast-growth organization, with 200-500 employees, a plus 
  • Well versed in Powerpoint, Google Slides and other presentation software
