Essential Duties and Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position provides support and assistance to our Sales and Service teams by performing the following duties:
- Lead Receiving and Stocking Team: Lead and train a team of receiving and stocking clerks to ensure they meet performance goals and adhere to company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Receiving Operations: Oversee the unloading, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments, ensuring that goods match purchase orders, are in good condition, and are properly recorded
- Stocking and Organization: Ensure that all products are properly stored, labeled, and organized within the warehouse, with an emphasis on ease of access, stock rotation, and maximizing space efficiency.
- Inventory Control: Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring products are received, stocked, and logged correctly in the inventory management system. Conduct periodic counts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of received goods and ensure that damaged or defective products are identified and properly documented for return or further action.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve receiving and stocking processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and maintain safety standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety policies and best practices within the receiving and stocking departments, ensuring that employees work in a safe and compliant environment.
- Performance Reporting: Track team performance, inventory status, and departmental KPIs. Provide regular reports to the RAM Manager
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., inventory control, shipping, and purchasing) to ensure smooth transitions and resolve any operational challenges.
- Training and Development: Assist with developing training programs for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff to ensure high levels of competence, productivity, and safety awareness.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of experience in a warehouse, receiving, or stocking role, with at least 6 months in a supervisory or leadership position.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in using inventory management software Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack.
- Ability to operate a forklift
