Summary:
The Onboarding Specialist will be the administrative expert and provide front-line support to hiring managers, employees and applicants for any process related issues. The Onboarding Specialist will work in collaboration with Sourcers, Recruiters and Leadership to support various aspects of Talent Acquisition, such as scheduling New Associate Orientation and new hire paperwork. The primary function of this role will be responsible for ensuring new hires are in compliance in accordance with healthcare laws and regulations.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinates onboarding process such as scheduling events (New Associate Orientation, Occupational Health).
Responsible for requesting and ensuring new hire paperwork is filed electronically in accordance with Joint Commission regulations.
Ensure completion of new hire pre-employment, to include background checks, secondary checks, screenings and other requirements needed.
Builds and fosters relationships with Talent Acquisitions, Hiring Managers, employees and applicants to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
Accurately creates and manages new employee personnel files.
Provide general administrative support to Talent Acquisition team.
Required Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Associates degree or higher preferred
Minimum Years and Type of Experience:
Minimum of 2 years related experience or customer service with demonstrated ability to succeed in fast paced environment.
Human Resources or Healthcare experience is preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism under any situation is critical.
Effective problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all parties inside and outside of the organization.
Detail oriented and highly organized with proven superior time management skills, including the ability to multi-task.
Proactive team player with strong work ethic.
Previous applicant tracking system experience is preferred.
Workday experience is preferred.
