Machine Operator (Card)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Card Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the flow of materials throughout the facility, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods. The individual must be flexible and willing to cross-train and assist in other areas as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Operates Carding Line that includes fiber opening, carding, web cross folding, and needling.
• Follow work orders and routing instructions to ensure to meet production specifications.
• Be proficient with product change over while minimizing waste.
• Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records and reports related to product specifications, production quantities, and any necessary adjustments made during the manufacturing process.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular lab tests to assess the physical properties of the products, ensuring they meet required standards. Promptly report any deviations or non-conformances, taking appropriate corrective action as needed.
• Data Management: Efficiently handle data entry tasks and complete required reports in a timely manner, contributing to the smooth operation of the manufacturing process and providing valuable insights for continuous improvement.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members in the finishing end department, providing support and assistance as needed to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Prior machine operation experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and follow established procedures accurately.
• Proficiency in record keeping and data management, with excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
