The preferred location for this role is Miami but open to other locations in Florida.
In your role as Senior Specialist, you will be required to carry out the following:
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Prospect new business from network of clients and dealers to ensure department meets or exceeds annual sales targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with buyers and sellers to foster repeat business.
- Manage auction appraisals while accepting and preparing consignments for auction.
- Work with the Head of Department on strategies to encourage new business opportunities for the department.
- Attend and assist on motoring events to help drive additional business to the department.
- Support in the research required to accurately catalogue property consigned to auction.
- Assist the team in the development and editing of the catalogues prior to printing.
- Assist on events including our global sales which would requires travel in the US and abroad.
- Maintain an awareness of our competitor’s strategies.
- Support the junior specialists on the team to encourage their development and knowledge of the market.
In addition to the tasks and responsibilities listed, you may be required to perform other duties as assigned by your Manager.
Required Skills
- Experience in collector car sales; auction preferred.
- Passion for and knowledge of classic, modern and contemporary collector cars and their markets.
- Degree holder or equivalent.
- Specialist expertise achieved through a previous role.
- Proven business acumen and valuation skills.
- Deep network of contacts (or) willingness to build up such a portfolio.
- Functional working knowledge of the entire auction process and related procedures.
- Deep market and trend awareness.
- Flexible and receptive to change.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
- Able to work as part of team, and independently.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- This position is eligible for commission upon successful completion of sales.
- Preferred location of this role is Miami although open to other locations in Florida with travel required.
