Desktop Support Technician

Bonita Payton Consulting and Professional Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer for as-needed projects. This role is ideal for experienced IT professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and are available on a flexible basis. The Desktop Support Engineer will provide hands-on technical support, including system imaging, troubleshooting, migrations, and computer upgrades, to corporate clients.

• Perform desktop imaging and deployment following corporate IT standards.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Assist in OS migrations and system upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
• Provide end-user support for Windows, macOS, and various enterprise applications.
• Conduct hardware installations, replacements, and repairs as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation of IT incidents, resolutions, and asset tracking.
• Work with corporate IT teams to implement security policies and best practices.
• Deliver remote and onsite technical support for project-based assignments.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to corporate security protocols.

• Minimum of 3 years of corporate desktop support experience.
• Strong expertise in imaging, troubleshooting, migrations, and computer upgrades.
• Experience with Windows OS, macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and ITSM tools.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hardware issues with desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Familiarity with remote support tools and enterprise network environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry IT equipment up to 50 lbs as needed.

• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for onsite projects.
• Availability for short-term and long-term project-based assignments.

• Industry certifications (CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft certifications, or equivalent).
• Experience in large-scale desktop rollouts and migrations.
• Knowledge of enterprise security policies and compliance standards.

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
• Travel reimbursements for onsite projects as applicable.
