Bonnell Aluminum is seeking Engineering students with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The internship will require the candidates to analyze production data to identify areas of improvement within a manufacturing environment. The chosen individuals will have the opportunity to work and learn in a multi-faceted production environment while working in the value streams from raw material to finished product.

Bonnell Aluminum is North America’s premier manufacturer of custom aluminum extrusions. We manufacture mill finish, anodized, painted and thermally broken aluminum extrusions. Our press size ranges from 1,550 to 5,500-tons.
We produce large diameter extrusions requiring high-quality surface finish up to 16 inches in circle size. Fabricators and distributors use our extruded profiles in various applications: curtain walls, storefronts, light to heavy commercial and institutional windows, walkway covers, interior architectural products, photovoltaic panels, solar collectors, heat sinks for L.E.D. lighting, shower enclosures, hurricane protection products, automotive, light trucks, recreational vehicles, and industrial machinery.
We are headquartered in Newnan, Georgia. We have manufacturing operations in Newnan, Georgia; Carthage, Tennessee; Niles, Michigan; Clearfield, Utah; and Elkhart, Indiana.

Your Future Role
- Conduct extended process time studies for various areas of the assigned production departments.
- Optimize production lines and operation performance.
- Collaborate with other engineers, suppliers, and production employees.
- Contribute to a safe work environment through risk elimination projects.
- Applies engineering principles to research and develop new processes and equipment.
- Evaluating and updating existing process maps and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting your value stream in various projects and our Bonnell customers.
- Pursuing a degree or related field at a 4-year accredited college/university. Applicants must be entering their Junior or Senior year.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without Sponsorship
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong understand of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong understanding in AutoCAD Inventor or equivalent design software.
- Highly motivated with problem solving acumen.
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge and a keen interest in the manufacturing industry.
- Most importantly, a positive attitude.
- Understanding of engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma.
- Experience in aluminum, extrusion processes, or metal working.
