What are the responsibilities and job description for the ED Coordinator/Emergency position at Bonner General Hospital?
SHIFT: Nights (3) 12 hour shifts per week
The Emergency Department Coordinator is a fast paced, also often high intensity, position responsible for the efficient and orderly registration and coordination of patients presenting to the Emergency department. The Coordinator actively ensures that accurate patient information is collected and recorded in the electronic medical record (EMR) and assists the providers, nurses and other staff members with the coordination of transfer, admission or discharge.
The Emergency Department is a fast paced-dynamic department with a highly experienced team. The staff consist of physicians, registered nurses, technicians and health unit coordinators who are close knit and work exceptionally well together.
The department has over 10,000 visits a year and holds Time Sensitive Emergency designations in Trauma, Stroke and STEMI through the State of Idaho. Bonner General also participates in the tele-stroke program through Sacred Heart.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years receptionist, office assisting or related clinical experience
CNA, EMT or other healthcare experience highly preferred
Hospital/Medical/Office/Billing/Admitting experience preferred
Medical terminology preferred
