Job Summary: 10 month position and Extended School Year Program
The Bonnie Brae School is seeking a Crisis Intervention staff member. Crisis Intervention is responsible for providing a safe learning environment as directed by the Principal. Effectively supervise the student population while employing behavior management /modification methods through use of de-escalation strategies and use of physical restraint procedures when warranted. Prior behavior management experience is preferred but will train the right individual. You will be part of an experienced crisis team and receive constant support and the education and tools you need to succeed.
Candidate will possess the following:
Education Requirements:
- Associates Degree.
- Current letter of approval from the Office of Criminal History Review.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Experience:
- Operates from a personal code of ethics.
- Experiences working with emotionally disturbed adolescents either in counseling, child care or teaching position.
- Able to supervise youth in structured or unstructured situation.
- Trained in DCF method of nonviolent physical restraint.
- Skilled in deescalating emotional situations.
- Able to work calmly in stressful situations.
- Capable of basic computer literacy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,500.00 per year
